Ridgetown Excursion Farewell to the CASO Excursion, July 2nd, 2005 Mother nature was smiling on us today as almost 200 excited guest boarded our train for the last steam powered trip to Ridgetown. No.9 was greeted by excited people every where she went. Shedden, Dutton, West Lorne, Rodney and Highgate flew but as we steamed our way to Ridgetown. Arriving in Ridgetown we were met by a huge crowd who had come up to be part of history. Dave Phillips read a special proclamation sadly announcing "the last train to Ridgetown". A "thumbs up" to our volunteers who worked very hard to put together this special event. A special Thank You to our guests who joined us and are helping keep the dream alive. Congratulations to Ruth Wight of Dutton, winner of the beautiful train picture. Here are some of the sights of the event. Click any photo for a large version.
