Oktoberfest Tour 2003
Kitchener to Guelph Sat. Oct 4th

We left Stratford on a cold and rainy Saturday and headed to Kitchener on our way to Guelph.

We were accompanied by a number of loyal fans who gave chase the whole route. I am sure there were thousands of pictures

taken along the way. SOLRS hopes to have a photo contest so get your best shots ready.

The sun managed to poke out its head by the time we were leaving Kitchener and we were

greeted by a packed platform in Guelph.

Thanks to the Guelph volunteers for their help. ETR #9 and 1400 were then moved to "the other Guelph Junction" to prepare for the sold out Hespeler tours.

Sunday saw us make three trips from Hespeler to Guelph and return with three sold out trains.

Excitement was high and I was kept very busy and only managed a few shots. A special thanks to all the

volunteers who helped make the day a huge success. Also thanks to Scott Lindhorst for letting me use

his wonderful photo of #9 heading to Hespeler
