The railway arrived in Monkton
in 1906 and I believe this station was built around then.
The first CP line completed in 1907, made an east to west cut across
the centre of the county through Millbank, Milverton and Monkton, in
addition to a line from Linwood to Listowel.
The following photos were taken
in 2000 when the station was in not too bad condition. It has
deteriorated badly since then.
