CN Kincardine Sub Mile 48.0 April 22, 2003

These pictures were taken in April even thought it looks like January, snowing and -1C. These 2 bridges are southeast of Ripley with the trestle at about mile 48.0 and the smaller one at 47.5.The interesting thing about the smaller one is it was built at right angles to the track even though the river crossed at a 45 degree angle. There are piling placed on either side to turn the stream so it crosses at right anglesAlso found a flanger post for the trestle and some ties and a fishplate still in the roadbed.
